After 12 months with IKO as National Accounts Manager Ashley Chivers has taken up the post of Sales Director, Roofing Specification. “I’m really enjoying the role,” says Ashley. “IKO is a great company to work for. We have so many things going for us – we manufacture in Britain, we have a strong product and service offering backed by a quality team and a supportive contractor network. I aim to ensure IKO continues to be recognised as a brand leader in this sector and that we offer the best solution to our clients.”
Ashley came to IKO from his post as Commercial Director, Britdoors, and has a strong background in the construction products industry, having worked for SIG for 5 years and Marley Waterproofing (now part of IKO group) before that. He’s looking forward to meeting the challenges of the new job. “Our biggest challenge is keeping ahead of a constantly changing market place,” continues Ashley. “Procurement routes, framework agreements, Academies, legislation, guarantees – they’re all subject to change. Maintaining a total understanding of the current situation and being aware of potential changes which could affect business will help us offer the best possible solutions to our clients.”
Ashley is a family man, with 3 young sons, and loves spending time with them. When he gets the chance he also enjoys sports – in particular rugby.
