CRASH is the construction industry’s charity. A unique, practical charity that assists homeless and hospice charities with construction related projects.
IKO assists CRASH in the projects they are involved in by providing roofing, waterproofing and insulation building materials and the technical knowledge to use them.
One such project was the The Pilsdon Community Trust in Dorset. This is a working farm and refuge assisted by CRASH. Homeless people come to Pilsdon in a time of crisis, recovering from family breakdown, mental illness, addiction or coping with bereavement, and the centre offers accommodation and work for them whilst they are there.
Francesca Roberts, Chief Executive of CRASH said, ‘CRASH would like to say a huge thank you for the support IKO has provided the Loose Boxes redevelopment. The project could not have happened without the generous donation of materials and professional expertise from the construction industry.’
Pilsdon have received help in the construction of this project work from CRASH patrons, EC Harris and BAM Construction and many other industry supporters.
