2,300m2 New Roofing System
Following several reported roof leaks IKO were chosen to survey the Academy roofs and recommend a proposal for renewing the aged and weathered membrane this included many non compliant and fragile roof lights.
After a thorough roof survey including core sampling a new roofing system was designed to incorporate a tapered Insulation to remove the excess rainwater and also improve the thermal efficiency of the classrooms, A bespoke solution was provided to over sail the trouble-some low level Finlock integral gutters.
During the installation both adverse falls & hidden internal outlets were found resulting in the taper Insulation for one roof being completely redesigned, the installing contractor dealt with this as well as some adverse weather conditions to produce a quality installation satisfying both the Academy and Specifier.
