South Liverpool Sea Cadets

IKO recently donated the materials to re-felt the roof of a Portakabin used by South Liverpool Sea Cadets. The unit is based in the Army Reserves Barracks on Aigburth Road, with 30 members between 12 and 18 years’ old. Established in in 1856, Sea Cadets offers young people amazing opportunities to challenge themselves, gain confidence and develop new skills. Activities offered by the South Liverpool unit include sailing, boating, shooting, meteorology and expedition training, making a real difference to young people’s lives.

The Portakabin was in some disrepair and the unit would have had to find new premises were it not for IKO, so the donation was very gratefully received!
