Description

IKOpro Synthaprufe LAC is a high performance waterproofing liquid used as a damp proof membrane and water-repellent coating. It forms a flexible membrane when cured and provides an effective barrier to water and water vapour. Synthaprufe LAC is easy to apply and is suitable for use in the most demanding site locations. A cold-applied liquid asphaltic compound which, once applied, dries to provide a waterproof and vapour resistant black, flexible film. When suitably protected, Synthaprufe LAC will be effective throughout the life of the building.

IKOpro Synthaprufe LAC is damp proofing only, not tanking. We do not recommend it be painted over. Please see the IKOpro Synthaprufe LAC Product Data Sheet, Application Sections for reference.

Our product datasheet states:-

The product must not be applied to exposed surfaces in wet conditions (i.e. rain or standing water) or if these conditions are likely to occur before the membrane has dried.

We would recommend therefore that the surface be made as dry as practicably possible prior to application to ensure drying times and overall achievable bond to substrate are unaffected.
